Zoe's Story In July, we adopted Zoe (originally named Gypsy) from a group of dogs that had recently been rescued from a puppy mill. She was really scared at first, she hid under the bed and rarely let anyone get close to her. We knew that because she had been in a puppy mill that she had a tough time before she came to us, and we decided to let her explore her new home in her own time. She amazed us from the moment she discovered our backyard, it was like she realized that she was finally free from her caged life and she just ran around for hours with a big smile on her face. Zoe has come around so much since that day, she's very social and is always playing with her toys and our pomeranian Cosmo. She the most affectionate little girl, we all love her so much, and she is such an important part of our family. Every time I watch her run around in our backyard I think about how far she has come since that first day, and how happy I am that she was rescued from her life in the puppy mill so that she could become part of family.
